The August Glossybox

If you haven't received you August Glossybox yet and don't want the surprise spoilt then do not read on!

Apologies for the pics as I'm blogging from my iPhone between packing my bags.

I'm off on my hols tomorrow so a few extra small treats were just what I needed to top up my toiletries and as this months box is the 'International superstars box' so I thought it was rather fitting.

In my box I got: Allessandro Pro white nail polish, DHC deep cleansing Oil, Broadway nails imPress press-on manicure, Vera Valenti eye shadow pallette, Lipcote and a Glossybox Lippie.

The samples are of a good size this month and I'm intrigued to try the Glossybox lipstick, mine is Glossy pink which is very wearable, I think everyone's lipstick is that colour according to the insert.

I'm least excited about the eyeshadows which are oddly coloured in my opinion but maybe some people like beige and green.

Glossybox, when will you be using our beauty profilles? I'm still finding that some products are just not suited to my skin type as I'm sure others are too.

All in all I think this box is average, with a couple of useful bits to try and some I'll probably pass on to friends who's skin type or colouring is better matched.

What is your view on the August Glossybox?
Did you get anything different?

Royal Mail defends decision to deny Paralympic gold medallists own stamps

Hi all, have you been enjoying the Olympic games?

I loved the pageantry and excitement of the opening ceremony but I have to admit that I am suffering from Olympics overload as my Mr and his son have decided to watch almost every event going!
It only happens once every four years and it is on our home turf so we might as well enjoy it while it lasts I guess.

I had no opinion on Royal mail's range of individual stamps to celebrate each gold medal winner until my nan voiced her
outrage at the fact that the Paralympian gold winners will not be getting the same honour, instead they will all feature across six stamps.

I believe my nan's exact words on the subject were
"it's terrible, if I knew how to do one of those online petition thingies or a Facebook group about it I would".

Royal mail did release a statement and I totally get their point , GB's Paralympics team have a successful track record in gaining gold medals for our country but I can't help feeling that their success shouldn't mean they miss out.
I'm sure it'd be nice for fans and families of the Paralympians to be able to buy an individual stamp of each winner.

I think I'm inclined to agree with nan on this, but what are your opinions?
Do you think we should treat our Paralympians the same as our Olympians?

Please leave your comments and links, I love to read them and always aim to reply
